In order to promote complete transparency of our actions, these updates will list organizations, companies, offices, and persons with which we have substantive interactions. These interactions do not represent formal endorsement of the Global Campaign against IEDs by these entities. Formal endorsements will be posted separately as they are received.
First, I would like to welcome the personnel in the offices of seven United States Senators and seven members of the United States Congress to our distribution list. We look forward to working with them to ensure our actions move through proper channels.
We have very promising news to share:
We received a message today from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict (ASD (SO/LIC)): It stated, in part:
"We will be reviewing package next week to determine appropriate partners in a Government
advocacy group in the area of C-IED. Many players are in this space, mostly military but State
has the lead in CVE. This sort of activity may easily be defined as CVE. Additionally this
could easily be in the Stability Ops lane.
After corralling the correct players including MISO we will host a meeting of interested
Government organizations and invite PIF to present.
On first review this is the kind of activity which potentially has a lot of opportunity..."
This compliments our efforts regarding the House and Senate latters to the President on the Global Campaign Against IEDs.
